"Ænvers Girona" is a new evolutionary and in progress program from Bòlit, Contemporary Art Centre of Girona mixing culture and tourism, art and education, leisure and knowledge. And that takes the city of Girona as the core for reflections and operations.

In its first edition, curated by Flora Bacquelaine (Girona, 1976), "Ænvers Girona_Mapas Intangibles", is going to be a collective exercise, adopting cartography as an urban investigation method as well as taking maps as its communication tool. Conceived as a city reflection, and from a contemporary point of view, different cartographical approaches are going to happen over time.

SENSORIAL CARTOGRAPHY. DERIVED MAPS

Marta Negre is going to drive us to the city's discovering while tracking its symbolic terms through senses. After her experience as resident at Carles Rahola High School and with sound investigator Martí Ruiz Carulla collaboration, artists, pupils and teachers will participate in the sensorial city limits through sound landscapes.

By taking cartographical language as a starting point, "Ænvers Girona_Mapes Intangibles" suggests city reflections. At the same time, it offers other possible maps and metaphors of Girona, through its inhabitants self generated contents. This is why, several activities will be integrated to this project into which direct participation and technology are going to have a leading role.
